In detail
Three styles for different needs of the body
- Suitable from scratch
- Work with props
- Groups of up to 8
Functional yoga brings together the three styles taught at the studio. They differ in pace and purpose and combine easily: start with hatha, add Iyengar if something holds you back, and yin when you need to recover.
Hatha yoga
The base people start from: breath, steady poses, a sense of how your own body is put together, and the ability to keep your attention in it.
Iyengar yoga
Precise, careful work with alignment and props, for bodies that carry limitations, pain or old injuries.
Yin yoga
A soft, restful practice that releases tension, settles the mind and helps you sleep.

Questions
What people ask most often
I have never done yoga. Where do I start?
With hatha: it is the base, and it asks for no preparation, flexibility or special clothes. Iyengar and yin can come later — we will pick the style together with the teacher.
Do I need to be flexible or fit?
No special preparation is needed. The groups are small, so the teacher sees everyone and picks a version of each pose that suits your body. The practice starts from where you are today, and you move at a pace that is comfortable for you.
How many people are in a group?
Few, no more than 8. The format is deliberately intimate: this way the teacher has time to come to each person instead of teaching the room as a whole.
What should I bring?
Comfortable clothes you do not mind sitting on the floor in. We will tell you the rest when you book, once it is clear which format you are coming to.
